Let's Get Bloggin'

One of the things that I've discovered during the course of my teaching career, which now spans over twenty years, is that students need models that will guide them through a process and give them an example of the expected end product.


With this in mind, I am going to start using this old blog site of mine to demonstrate to students how to properly use an online blog. My objective for this project is to get students to understand the importance of communicating in this technological age.

 Furthermore, I want them to understand the importance of doing this correctly. By this I mean that I want the students to recognize digital citizenship and all the benefits that come with those privileges. I want them to know how important it is for them to maintain some privacy in today's digital age while still leaving a digital footprint of their educational experience.

By the end of this project, all of the students will create and maintain and update their own blogs frequently. We will subscribe to each other’s blogs in order to follow each other and to keep up with assignments, activities, and miscellaneous posts. This will be a requirement of the class.
